SAT Workshops

Strategic Thinking for Real Results

Preparing for the SAT isn’t just about memorizing formulas or drilling practice questions — it’s about learning how to think. My SAT workshops help students sharpen their reasoning skills, manage test anxiety, and approach each section with confidence and clarity.

Whether students are aiming for their first test or their final retake, these workshops offer a supportive space to build skills that go far beyond the test itself.

What Makes My Approach Different?

I designed my SAT curriculum to strengthen the core thinking patterns that the test is built on:

  • Similarity & Contrast – identifying subtle differences in arguments, ideas, or data
  • Part-to-Whole Relationships – recognizing how details support a larger claim or theme
  • Cause & Effect – understanding logical connections in reading passages and math problems
  • Analysis & Synthesis – integrating information from multiple sources and solving multi-step problems
  • Thinking About Uncertainty – cultivating a curious mindset that helps students thrive in school

This approach trains students to recognize patterns, interpret nuance, and reason through ambiguity — all of which are essential for the SAT and for college-level work.

What’s Covered in the Workshop?

Each workshop includes a combination of:

  • Targeted skill instruction for each test section (reading & writing and math)
  • Practice with real SAT questions and strategies for decoding them
  • Fun, interactive activities that meaningfully connect concepts to students’ understanding
  • Mindset coaching to reduce stress and improve focus on test day
  • Group discussion and individualized support to reinforce learning

Workshops are structured to help students gain both strategic insight and practical tools, all in a low-pressure, encouraging environment.

Why Work With Me?

There are a lot of test prep options out there — so why choose this one?

Because I believe students do best when they understand not just what to do, but why it works. I bring:

  • A background in active learning and academic coaching
  • A gentle, curious teaching style that helps students stay engaged
  • A focus on reasoning over memorization, so students leave stronger thinkers
  • Experience working with a wide range of learners — including those with test anxiety, ADHD, or executive functioning challenges

Students often report that my approach make them feel less overwhelmed, more in control, and even (occasionally!) excited about what they’re learning.

Scheduling & Rates

Each workshop is limited to 10 students. I usually schedule them about two months before the exam date, leaving a couple of weeks before the test date for students to schedule one-on-one sessions if they want or need additional help.

Sessions are held online via Teams (requires a Microsoft account).

Currently, workshops are $100 per student per session, or you can pay for all six sessions upfront for just $500.

Includes extra practice assignments, practice tests and scoring, and downloadable study guides, plus email and text support until test day.
